It's beginning to look a lot like...

We were surprised this season with a new elf named Winona. Wyatt our former elf had to be relocated to Arizona. Winona happens to be a little naughty!

Claudia performed Friday for a Christmas celebration!

Aya

Our little one has been sick for the majority of the last two weeks. Besides the vomit-soaked sheets in the middle of the night, our days were pretty easy. We spent our time snuggled together under a blanket reading lots of books, watched "Cars" at Vincent's request, and they both took good naps.

The middle of the week hit Matt with a quite cold shower and we knew that "Aya" was feeling better. She has an amazing knack for finding just the right buttons to push. In this case it was the bright red alluring switch on our water heater. That little stinker, I'm glad she is feeling better.

No Night Night

Being two means that you want to be independent and make your own choices. For Vincent that frequently means that he wants YELLOW.. yellow shoes, yellow coat, yellow spoon, yellow cars, etc.. he loves the color yellow.

For Julianne that means no more naps. She climbs out of her portable crib about twenty times average before we give up. She prefers to hang out by mom or dad and if we're lucky she will crash on the couch.

So even though being two means you get to make some of your own choices nature takes over when you're really tired and just NEED a nap.

Special plunger

I do my best to keep the little ones occupied in our house and away from the many precious treasures of the older girls.  But there is that little part of me that remembers the allure of an older sibling's room, full of forbidden objects.  

So today, like most days when there is silence there is trouble.  I knew it wasn't Vincent because I could hear the clinking of metal matchbox cars.  Julianne must be the cause of the flushing I was hearing!

Tho and behold I discover her little hand welding the special "Snow White" glowing wand posed to plunge the toilet!  I can help but chuckle.  

Greetings

Some one didn't feel like taking a nap today.  She arrived in the living room looking too cute for me to put her back to bed.

Lemons

We had a few McDonald sort of days.  

While our babysitter was attending to the kids there was an incident.  Nothing too serious, just our hard drive.  

A pure accident, really, the headphones were attached to the computer and Claudia got the looong cord wrapped up in her wheelchair.  Back went Claudia and off the desk went our computer.  Fortunately, we were able to put a little money into a used hard drive and disc player and repair the damage.. though our e-mails, addresses, and miscellaneous stuff is gone.

And what better to do when life gives you lemons but to make lemonade.

I really try not to feel sorry for my little girl. She is smart and cute and has a lot going for her and what benefit is it to her for me to feel pity? But there are days....

When she is trying so hard to climb the steps up from our basement, or trying not to ask me for a tissue when she knows I'm busy, or days when she falls.

Every kids falls but when Claudia falls she isn't able to extend her arms fast enough to catch and protect herself. She had a nasty fall this weekend while heading out the back door using her walker. About thirty minutes later with her bloody nose and mouth she was at it again.

She is amazing!

Free time
