Merry Merry Merry

We spent a very quiet (relatively) Christmas at home. The kids all nestled in their beds after just barely making it through the Christmas Eve service by candlelight. Vincent has quite a habit of informing all the church members that he likes yellow and proceeded to demonstrate his impression of a big yellow DINO.. which means stomping loudly!
In the morning the kids were impressively patience watching and waiting as each took a turn opening a gift. We spent the whole day playing and enjoying as a family. It was fun!

The girls enjoyed their gifts. Both have been devouring their books on the Kindles, so much so that Eloise shouted from her bed that she was ordering another Berenstain Bear Book at 8:30pm, hoping that we wouldn't mind that she used our credit card.. oops.

Julianne snuggled up with her new puppy.

And Vincent was happy just to have his YELLOW M&M candy.

Snow Day

Home two hours early from school.. looks like we'll make the record for the SNOWIEST DECEMBER ever.
Yes, that is our AMAZING bus driver, John Matuszewski, holding the shovel and unloading Claudia. He shovels the way for Claudia right up to the house! Now that is more than Minnesota Nice!

Eloise!

Happy Birthday

A new age of our children remembering and reminding us of how old we are. The joys are abundant. Happy Day my sweet pea.

Obligatory Santa Visit

Vincent was sure that sitting on Santa's lap was not a good idea and was telling Santa so. Then he proceeded to make it known that he expects yellow M & M's and a big truck.

We tried.

37.1

We have been dumped on. Dumped with snow. Lots of snow.
Thirty-seven point one inches already leaving ONLY 3.6 inches until we reach the record for the snowiest December ever!

At times my branches do feel a little extra weight. Forty fingers to fit into gloves, eight feet to push into boots, one wheelchair to shovel out when stuck, and eight rosy cheeks to kiss.

Not much to do but honker down and enjoy the warmth of our abode. No one needs to fish our van out of a snow bank.

Peeking

Claudia got her new glasses today. She had been asking me daily how many more days it would be until they arrived. We are glad she is excited to try them.

Christmas Spirit

It is impossible not to feel the spirit of Christmas with nine inches of snow and beautiful voices singing Christmas joys!
